I went back and forth between wanting to take a picture of my sewing box full of loose buttons or Jayden’s nose. I ended up taking a picture of an Xbox controller. Heh. #febphotoaday © Sophistishe 2012 | Permalink | No comment – Oh, I see how it is…

I was supposed to be making meatballs and homemade mashed potatoes (debated in the paleo community) for dinner, but I didn’t feel like it. It’s my fault. I had pancakes for breakfast and crashed all day. They were delicious, but within a couple of bites I couldn’t even keep my head up. I’m waiting on some almonds so that I can make almond flour pancakes. My body definitely cannot tolerate white flour (a paleo no no, but I was craving). There’s about a cup of it left, once it’s gone, it’s gone. On a related note, I made Dairy-Free Strawberry [...]

I’ve been up since after 6AM. I got enough sleep, but I’m dragging. I’m bored and I want change. I can’t concentrate on what I should be doing because I am uninspired. I’m off to rearrange the furniture in the living room… if that’s even possible since everything revolves around the TV that is mounted to the wall. #febphototoday © Sophistishe 2012 | Permalink | No comment – Oh, I see how it is…

So you know how you look in the mirror and you see someone so fresh, so vibrant, so magnificently fly… you grab your camera to do a self portrait and are horrified at the zombie looking back at you on the preview screen? What’s up with that? So you take 80 more shots only to be pleased with only 3 of them – if that. Yea, me too. Yesterday morning. I had just washed my face. Nothing more. Obsessing over… Paleo recipes. Working on… Being a better blogger. Being more present here. Thinking about… Grocery shopping this afternoon. I’m excited [...]

I cannot pinpoint the last time Greg and I went out. Alone. I suppose it was maybe two years ago? For three years we’ve been waiting on the opportunity to get back into the groove of things. Parenting can be so exhausting at times, but perhaps we could have tried harder to do more for “us”. Two weeks ago, we did just that. Jayden went to visit with his great grandmother and Greg and I headed to the recreation center. The place was empty and we got to play a round of miniature golf (bass ackwards), ride go-karts and paddle [...]
