Being a yoga instructor, I have known the importance of foot and posture health for many years. I know that being barefoot is best, but unfortunately we can’t be on a yoga mat all the time. I have been interested in minimalist shoes for awhile, but I didn’t know you could have fashion coincide with [...]

Part of what gets me into the Winter spirit are boots and sweaters. Fair Isle sweaters especially. I just fall for them every time. I was recently introduced to Krimson Klover who are like THE lady sweater emporium! Krimson Klover offer what they like to call Knits With a Twist. All of their sweaters not [...]

Originally posted 2011-04-18 09:02:41. Over the weekend, we decided to color some eggs using an inexpensive kit I found at Walmart. I couldn’t help but to grab the Eggosaurus kit because of its dinosaur themed decorations. Jayden loves dinosaurs second best to trains of course. Since this craft project would be for display only, I didn’t let the current food dye debate rain on my egg coloring parade. I went back and forth in my head about it, admittedly. I decided to let it go this year and next year, I’d find a kit with plant based dyes. Jayden and [...]

Originally posted 2009-09-19 18:19:32. Last Saturday we moved with the help of Greg’s mom, his step dad, step brother, and brother. The boys loaded up the U-Haul while Greg’s mom watched Boogie, and I cleaned up. We were out of there and moved in to our new place in a few hours. When we arrived, the water was off. I had set up the water account the day before (smart I know). I hooked it up to our bank account to get out of paying the $50 deposit. So luckily a guy from the water department was in the area. Originally posted 2011-04-20 00:00:56. Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to attend the Wilton Mom ReTreat held at the Wilton Headquarters in Bolingbrook, IL. We stayed at the Aloft, a fabulous, upbeat hotel. Here are some photos of my cute, loft inspired room. Who can resist the hotel bathroom photos? During the ReTreat, we enjoyed complimentary breakfast at the hotel, lunches catered by Panera and Potbelly Sandwich Shop, and dinners at Francesca’s at The Promenade and Rosebud where tired me accidentally ordered a whole chicken. Luckily, this was a local event, so I saved the leftovers for Greg! I [...]

I had it removed. If I had the stamina to do back flips, I would. I have never been so happy to have a body beginning to function as it is intended to (hello menstrual cycle). But to back up a little bit… in this post I mentioned my suspicion of the Mirena (inserted 3 1/2 years ago) causing my mental health plummet. Never did I imagine that at age 24, I’d find myself feeling trapped at the bottom of the barrel. I won’t get into details or dramatics, but for over a year I felt pretty crappy on most [...]

After Christmas, my eyes begin turning toward party supplies! Why, you ask? Because all four of my kiddos have birthdays within the first four months of the year! So, you can imagine my excitement when I found Michelle’s Party Shop on Etsy. She creates the most adorable cupcake toppers and other digital files for decorations. [...]
