My Halloween finds under $32

I’m a sucker for autumn decor, as if you couldn’t tell. So as soon as Walmart put out their selection, I grabbed some things before I even knew I’d have the opportunity to write a sponsored post about it.

So without further ado, let’s take a tour shall we?

In true Sheena fashion, the fridge is decorated with Halloween themed window clings.

The mini scare crows were planted with the cilantro (pictured), but then I moved them to my herb box (not pictured).

The jack-o-lantern rests on the bench in our entryway. I stuck one of the skeletons in the tree. This is so autumn!

I put the Better Homes and Gardens pumpkins in a basket on our credenza. Oh, I glued the leaves that came with to the freaky fabric on the bench in the previous photo.

I wrapped the garland and lights around our banister. Spooktacular or what?

The rest of the skeletons hang on our front door. I got a little crafty :).

This buttery soft Better Homes and Gardens throw has been stolen by Jayden. Periodically, it ends up back in the living room. I think I’m going to buy a backup. Love it!

To find out where I got the rest of the Halloween items pictured, you’ll have to do a little snooping through my Halloween tag :).

Flashback Post: Halloween Decor For Less

Are you as obsessed over autumn decor as I am?

I am a member of the Walmart Moms program. Walmart is compensating me for sharing my autumn finds with you. All words are my own. Read my full disclosure policy here.

Home Free Shipping: What’s In Your Cart?

I’ve been ordering health and beauty products from Walmart for quite some time now. I usually place an order when I can’t find certain St. Ives products at my local Walmart and I tend to order in multiple quantities. It makes sense since we tend to run out of these products fast, especially lotion and face wash. I default to Walmart.com because their prices are usually low and shipping’s not terribly bad. To make shopping Walmart.com even better, Walmart announced their Home Free shipping service that provides free shipping to home on all apparel and consumables orders over $45. Tens [...]Continue Reading

Mexican Rice and Bean Salad

Last week, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, I decided to brush up on my Mexican dishes. I experimented with guacamole, tortilla stew (which I turned into a bean soup), rice and bean salad, and allergy free tortillas (not as tasty as corn tortilla *sigh*). Before I go posting all of the recipes, I need to perfect them first, so today, I’ll just share the rice and bean salad recipe since it was fail-proof and it photographed really well :). Before I get into the recipe, I’d like to share a little “Did you know?” about my family. My uncle’s [...]Continue Reading

SweeTango Apples: The Best I’ve Ever Had & A Muffin Recipe

While I generally love anything with apples; applesauce, apple pie, apple jelly, apple whatever, I don’t eat the fruit (apples) as often as I’d like. I prefer an apple that is both equally sweet and tangy and those are hard come by. The apples I have eaten have either lacked sweetness or tanginess. Weeell, I was offered the opportunity to try SweeTango, a new variety of apples promising to be oh-so-delicious. I figured if I didn’t want to eat them as is, I’d just bake with them. The latter did not happen. I received a shipment of SweeTango apples (overnighted, first [...]Continue Reading

Slow Cooker Mixed Bean & Italian Sausage Soup

Italian sausage during grilling season is one of my weaknesses. The flavor of the sausage combined with a well done grilled taste, hint of BBQ sauce of a bun is enough for me. So when asked to try Johnsonville’s new Brat and Italian Sausage Burgers, I was super excited. Italian sausage in the form of a hamburger patty? Heck yeah. So I thought. I really wanted to like the Brat Burgers, but I have texture issues. I have a hard time biting into anything that mimics a scrambled egg patty, no matter how delicious the flavor is. The burgers were [...]Continue Reading

My Maybelline Silver Diva Runway Makeup Look

One of the things on my life list is to improve my eye makeup techniques. I am a bare faced diva by nature, but I do like adding a natural foundation for a more polished look and a little color to dress up my beady brown eyes. Just a little makeup goes a long way and when I wear it, I look more like a woman and less like a child. Someday I’m sure I’ll want to have that childhood glow back, but now I’m trying to get my grown and sexy on *puckers mouth and bats eyelashes*. Earlier this [...]Continue Reading

Tell us about your “Nice Save” (money saving tip)!

Nice Save is a new application tab on Walmart’s Facebook page that represents Walmart’s commitment to Every Day Low Prices. Each month, Walmart helps its consumers solve a new challenge by connecting them with a community of Facebook fans that have tried-and-true money saving tips. The challenges are each dedicated to a different seasonal theme (the first one is Game Time), and users are asked to submit their solutions within a specific, affordable price point (i.e. Game Day under $50). Some of us Walmart Moms will be hosts of each challenge and Tara of Deal Seeking Mom is up first [...]Continue Reading

Grilled Spinach Veggie Pizza

One thing I’ve been meaning to do this summer is cook a pizza out on the grill. Well, Sunday night I decided to do so and it came out sooo yummy and beautiful! It’s been a while since I’ve made homemade pizza and I have been reminded of its deliciousness! Homemade pizza is so simple to make although I feel bouts of laziness set in when it comes to making the dough. So besides the dough, my ingredients include a regular pasta sauce (too lazy to make my own), minced garlic, green pepper, red onion, shredded mozzarella cheese, and a [...]Continue Reading

Diggin’ Our Bathroom Makeover

In the two years that we have lived in our home, I have resisted the temptation to paint. Oh, how these white walls continue to taunt me. See, I painted a few rooms in two of our previous places and both times that we moved, Greg was stuck doing most of the repainting. Those experiences were so traumatic that I promised him that I would not paint until we became homeowners. Well, it’s kind of hard to live up to that promise with the awesomeness that is Pinterest, a desire to cozy up our home for the cooler seasons (because [...]Continue Reading
