Our Little Man Is 3 Months Old & Loves His Disney Tunes!
Scrapped by Mommy on July 27, 2008 – 2:12 pm -If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to Mommy Daddy Blog. We wouldn't want you to miss out on our updates or giveaways ;-)! Thanks for visiting!
This post was written yesterday, but I fell asleep before I was done. So let’s pretend like today is yesterday, ok?
It’s hard to believe our little booger is 3 months old today. He’s getting so BIG! He’s 13.8lbs! Before I know it, he’ll be towering over me! Now let’s see…he’s got a pretty large appetite. He Nurses less than every 2 hours. He puts my boobs in a chokehold! He sleeps wild! He kicks and flings his arms everywhere! He so strong! He’s mastered grabbing. He’ll snatch anything that you put in his face. He enjoys tugging on my clothes. He finds amusement in staring at his hands. He is very vocal. He will babble infantspeak nonstop. When I’m on the phone, he HAS to be in on the entire conversation! He enjoys watching us tinker on our computers. Uh oh could he be a future blogger?! He demands attention. If he could do this, he would! He appreciates getting his diaper changed. There’s no stopping those little beefy legs once he hits the changing table! He’s got the teething munchies. He must chew on EVERYTHING, including my arms! His eczema has improved and his complexion is getting lighter. Overall he is doing great. I can’t get enough of squeezing his chunky thighs and kissing his button nose 9256785234 times a day!
Today was a fun day. I popped in the Disney CDs and recorded some videos of Jayden. Below are some clips with a few hilarious surprises! [edit]HE FARTS![/edit] The visual isn’t all that crisp, but I’m thankful that it only took 10 minutes to upload vs overnight! I’ve been trying some new things with our camera software, still looking for more software for $FREE.99.
The CD featured in this video is Disney Music Block Party. The songs played are Mickey Mouse Club March by Ralph’s World and The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room by Wayne Brady. As you can see, we couldn’t get enough of Tiki Room! Block Party is 1 of the five CD’s sent from Mom Central for us to review. The other titles are Imagination Movers: Juice Box Heroes, They Might Be Giants: Here Comes the 123s, Choo-Choo Soul, and Ralph’s World: The Rhyming Circus. My favorites were (I can’t speak for Jayden) Disney Music Block Party and They Might Be Giants: Here Comes the 123s. Disney Music Block Party features classic Disney songs sung by Playhouse Disney artists. I can definitely relate to this album as I grew up singing these songs. They Might Be Giants: Here Comes the 123s features songs that are ALL number themed with the exception of the bonus Playhouse Disney favorite tracks. I love the concept, who doesn’t love products that encourage learning? The other albums are great too. I’m just not familiar with the songs, as I don’t watch the shows. I’m PRETTY sure Jayden will help me out later on down the road! Each title except Imagination Movers: Juice Box Heroes either includes bonus music videos or lyrics. We really enjoyed reviewing the CD’s. They are a great addition to our family media collection. I encourage picking up a few of them here! I almost forgot about The Disney Music Block Party Live Tour! For tickets and showtimes, visit the Disney Music Block Party Tour!

We’re Back Home!
Scrapped by Mommy on July 9, 2008 – 10:52 pm -We made it home from Chicago 5pm-ish. I spent the first 3 hours of being home getting our little booger situated, keeping him happy. Right now I’m guzzling a 46 oz bottle of Cranergy while rocking him back and forth in the Sleepy Wrap (A GINORMOUS LIFE SAVER!). He’s been sleeping good. I’m getting over a pounding headache. Daddy’s home from work so now I will be taking my daily 5 minute shower!
We have a lot of work to do at home and with Mommy Daddy Blog. I better get started after my shower. Below is a video from the road today!
Jayden’s 2 Month Dr. Visit
Scrapped by Mommy on June 30, 2008 – 8:16 pm -Today was Jayden’s 2 month visit with the pediatrician. He received some vaccines and will continue them, but with few being administered at a time. Next time we see a pediatrician, we’ll be living in a new area, so we’ll have to find one that will work with us. I’m dreading this. I can’t say that I’m not uneasy about vaccinating, but I would be if we chose not to. I really hope something is done about today’s vaccines soon to make them more natural. It’s too much on the parents who have to make such tough decisions and then on the children who are just totally helpless.
Jayden did so well today. I expected him to scream like I’ve never heard him scream before. There are times where he doesn’t want his diaper changed and he cries. That was the same cry he let out when getting his shots. He was very easy to console. After Daddy gave him a few hugs, I nursed him, and almost instantly the crying stopped. When we got home, I gave him a small dose of baby Tylenol just in case of fever, nursed him some more, and let him play in his bouncer. He’s napping now and I’ve been watching him closely like a hawk.
How could I forget to mention Jayden’s growth? He weighs 12lbs 2oz. I know I said he was 12lbs 6oz, but I read our scale at home wrong (don’t ask). He’s about 23 inches long. He’s in the 50th percentile for length and head circumference (we keep forgetting to get the measurement, they quickly write it down without mentioning it). As for his weight, he’s in the 75th percentile, making him a Happy Panda!
The pediatrician said to keep applying the Eucerin on Jayden’s eczema, but I’m going to try some shea butter instead.
Below is a montage from the visit at the doctor’s office and then after Jayden had bouncer time. The last video in this montage should have been longer. I don’t know what happened. Luckily Daddy was recording using his camera at the same time I was using mine. His is much more exciting, but it will probably take HOURS to upload!
Below is the video that I recorded while typing the previous post. He was having a ball! He loves that bouncer to bits!
Guess Who’s Two Months Old! (Video)
Scrapped by Mommy on June 28, 2008 – 11:25 pm -So I was all ready to write this post on the 26th, but I couldn’t get a video of him I wanted to include in the post uploaded to One True Media. My Firefox browser kept crashing!
It is now 5:17PM. As I was typing this post at 4:30PM, the video was uploading AGAIN and it had reached 96% completion. Right when I finished typing the line My Firefox browser kept crashing! (see above), the electricity WENT OUT! After that I was TOO THROUGH!
So here I am now typing on my iMac, waiting on the video to upload from my laptop. If the electricity wants to cut off again at least there will be battery back up.

Our little man made 2 months on June 26th. He’s getting so big! According to our scale he weighs 12lbs 6oz! I can’t stop squeezing his thunder thighs and kissing his little button nose!
Right now he’s sitting in his bouncer batting and kicking at the toys. He’s having a good time watching and hearing them light up and play music. He’s cooing! *grabs camera and records*
Remember the baby acne? I think it’s baby eczema. Our pediatrician told us to rub Eucerin cream on his cheeks twice a day. It has helped, but I’ve been applying it at least 4 times a day because his face feels so dry. And on occasions when he’s hot, his cheeks flare back up, like heat rash. His skin is dry all over just like baby eczema so I’ve just been keeping him nice and shiny with the Eucerin. I even put it in his hair. He had some flakey spots on his head which the Eucerin helped. He hasn’t had any more since. We have an appointment Monday, so we’ll see what we can do to better moisturize his skin. I’m thinking switch to some all natural products such as Dr. Bronner’s. I’ve been wanting to try some of their soap for my hair. We’ve been using Aveeno Baby wash. I didn’t know that Aveeno was distributed by Johnson & Johnson *smacks head*. I chose Aveeno because because I wanted to avoid the Johnson & Johnson drama. Ugh, defeated the purpose…I’m loving the idea of going green more and more each day.
Jayden’s been doing a GREAT job at pooping through his diapers. We need to get a few diaper covers; we have one and then we have a small collection of cloth diapers. I usually use cloth at night or when I want to give him a break from disposables (Nature Babycare). You may start seeing pictures and videos of Jayden wearing socks on his hands because he can’t keep them out of his face. We have scratch mitts, but they don’t stay on like socks. He’s scratched his cheeks a few times and caused them to bleed so we have to keep them on.
Well it looks like I won’t be posting that video I’ve been trying to upload or the one that I just recorded. I am beyond frustrated because I’m trying to be more on top of things but I can’t when things keep crashing or take forever to upload. HOPEFULLY I’ll be able to post the videos some time tomorrow…
EDIT: I managed to get the 1st video uploaded!!!!
