Back To School ’09

Labelers have surely come a long way. The last labeler that I used was a manual Dymo labeler. With that, I had to crank a wheel to each letter and then I had to squeeze a handle to imprint each letter on to the label tape. I’m feeling a little old here. Had Brother not nudged me to review their new P-touch Labeling System, I would still probably be oblivious to electronic labelers. I’m not a hardcore labeler, so I don’t keep up with the latest labeling systems. There’s one thing that I have trouble doing, and that’s staying organized. Continue Reading →

I am totally digging this stage in Boogie’s life. He’s old enough for hands on learning, so he can do things like color, draw, and play with Play-Doh. In honor of National Play-Doh Day (September 16th), Miss Brittany’s hooked Boogie up with a Deluxe Gift Set which included three 7 oz containers of Miss Brittany’s Organic Preschool Fun Dough, a 100% organic toddler apron, a wooden rolling pin, and four wooden shaped stampers. Now you all know that Mr. Boogie has been driving us up the wall lately and this gift from Miss Brittany’s was heaven sent. This has been Continue Reading →

Boogie and I have had the opportunity to get our hands on some all natural art supplies from Clementine Art. What I love about these products is that they are made of all natural ingredients and they are free of chemical dyes and additives. Clementine Art products are made with materials like kosher soy wax, non toxic mineral pigments and materials that you may find in your kitchen such as spinach, lemons, strawberries, and flour. At the age of 16 months, Boogie’s still in that stage where everything he touches has to go in his mouth. While conventional art supplies Continue Reading →

Wearing headbands have gotten me through the journey of locking my hair. Headbands have kept my hair out of my face and they have given me less of a Plain Jane look. Most of my headband collection was purchased at Bargain Headbands. I’ve been a loyal customer for over a year now! Bargain Headbands is the go to spot for hundreds of stylish headbands for under $5 each. Although each headband is affordably priced, I choose to go for the sets of 3 when I can because there’s often a small discount on them. This back to school season, girls Continue Reading →

With the back to school season in full effect, I’m sure many families have packing lunches on the brain. I’ve had the chance to research and try out a few healthy snacks that I am very excited to share. They are sure to put a smile on the kids’ faces during lunchtime! Brother’s All Natural Fruit Crisps are stripped of water gently by freeze drying. These freeze dried fruits are convenient and perfect for children with allergies. They are full of the same nutrients as fresh fruit and are free of preservatives, sulphur dioxide, added sugars, peanut/tree nuts, gluten, soy, Continue Reading →

Going back to school was something I’ve always looked forward to, at least in my elementary years. The fresh scent of new crayons made me giddy. That new backpack made me squee and who could forget the new clothes? I can’t wait until the day my lil man goes off to school, backpack strapped on to his back, lunchbox in tow. To get families get excited about packing lunches this school year, Motts, Smuckers, and Pepperidge Farms Gold Fish have launched the Lunchbox Builder, a fun tool, where users can design their own lunchbox, add it to the gallery of Continue Reading →

We have a dry erase board hanging on our fridge that we use on a daily basis. Whether it’s to write a small grocery list, blog duties, or witty love notes, we use it every. single. day. We normally use the regular chunky Expo markers, but we have switched to Expo Click Fine courtesy of the folks at Expo. Expo Click markers work just like traditional retractable pens. Grab, click, write, click, toss. They make note taking on the fridge that much easier and now we can fit more markers on our board . The folks at Expo also sent Continue Reading →
