I know y’all are tired of hearing about eczema, but it is something we struggle with every day. I know that Boogie “growing out of it” won’t exactly end our eczema trials. Since both Greg and I have sensitive skin and allergies, it’s a possibility all of our children may have to deal with eczema. So I continue looking for natural remedies and products that will help alleviate it.
We were introduced to hazelwood necklaces by Severine Stegner of Hazelaid. She is a firm believer in the amazing healing properties of hazelwood products. Her daughter’s severe eczema vanished within two weeks of wearing a hazelwood necklace. Pleased with the results, Severine started offering hazelwood necklaces on her website, hazelaid.com.
Amazed by her story, I decided to see if hazelwood neckaces would help relieve Boogie of his eczema symptoms. He’s been wearing a Hazelaid necklace for 3 weeks now. He wears it during the day and we remove it at night. I love how he looks in his hazelwood necklace and he enjoys wearing it. As for results, his eczema HAS been improving drastically, but around week two we started using Aquaphor. The Aquaphor has been the most effective moisturizer we’ve used on his skin, but I’m not a fan of the petro-chemicals in the product. It’s so frustrating to find that the products that sometimes work contain bad ingredients. I did find a natural alternative, which I plan on ordering soon.
So while I believe the Hazelaid necklace has contributed to Boogie’s eczema improving, I cannot say that it is the direct cause since we introduced a second variable. I will continue to use hazelwood jewelry. I may start wearing them myself because of all of the healing properties they possess.
Have you ever tried hazelwood jewelry before? If so, what were the results? If you have any questions about hazelwood jewelry, you can find support at the Hazelaid community forum and Facebook fan page. I’m giving away a Hazelaid necklace over here, be sure to stop by and enter!
How will I know when my hazelwood necklace is no longer working?
The life span of the hazelwood will depend on the level of acidity of the body. In general, a necklace will maintain its medicinal benefits for 6 months to 1 year. Higher acidity may mean a shorter lifespan of the necklace. Indicators that a necklace is losing effectiveness are: the ends of the wood beads (the flesh) will darken and/or symptoms return.
Age: 3 and older (small parts)
