When we chose our new place of residence, we were put in a pretty awkward situation. We had chosen a two story townhome, big deal. We’ve lived in a two story townhome before, but this time around we had a very active toddler who would live on the stairs if he could. First, we had to seal the gaps between the banisters to keep curious body parts from getting stuck in between. We were able to do this with the the Kid Shield, 15′ Roll. Installing the kit was pretty easy. We did run in to a problem using the Continue Reading →

Silly Shirt Shop is a new customizable t-shirt shop that I just adore. Through their shop, parents can sit down with their kids and design shirts with characters that reflect the personalities of their kids. Silly Shirt Shop offers a fun dressing room interface where kids can choose the hair style/color, eye color, eyebrows, outfit, and accessories for their new buddy. I was able to design a tee for Boogie courtesy of the folks over at Silly Shirt Shop. I chose the single layout, boy profile, brown skin, dark eyes and hair, and the puppy outfit. When I received the Continue Reading →
The Dirt Devil Gator is one mighty little machine. I use it multiple times a day to pick up after the little man. I should mention that since we’ve moved, I put the Vroom in storage. We don’t have an outlet underneath our kitchen sink, so we have to figure out where else we can use it. Back to the Gator, we have ants that gather at the front and back doors. If you leave the slightest crumb, they party. So not only have I been vacuuming up crumbs with the Gator, but little critters as well. Don’t worry PETA, Continue Reading →

Over the past twenty years, side impact crashes have dramatically increased and today they seem to be the deadliest kind of crashes children can be involved in. According to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the vast majority of these fatalities are due to head trauma. Keeping that in mind, Safety 1st has created the Safety 1st Complete Air Convertible Car Seat. This line of car seats use side impact technology to provide a double layer of security that shields where a child is most vulnerable, their head. On impact, the Compete Air immediately diverts crash forces and Continue Reading →
I am a huge fan of multifunctional products. The longer we can use a product, the better. As soon as we received the Chicco Quattro (provided by CSNBaby.com), I couldn’t wait to set this thing up for Boogie. What I admired about the product was it’s ability to adjust as Boogie grows as it offers four play modes: Rocker, Push ‘N Go, Push ‘N Walk, as well as Sit ‘N Ride. When we received the car, Boogie wasn’t walking yet, so he was unable to scoot. We attached the safety bars and top bar to use in Push ‘N Go Continue Reading →

Before Boogie was born, my mom bought us a Simplicity 3-n-1 crib. Since we were preparing to move, we didn’t set up a nursery, instead we coslept. In August of ’08, we moved and made plans to set up the nursery, but we continued to cosleep. Due to lack of space, we ended up turning Boogie’s room in to the office. Some time in between the crib was recalled, so my mom had it shipped back for a refund. Fast forward to now. We’ve moved again and Boogie now has his own room. It is not in danger of becoming Continue Reading →
