clementine art clementine art

Boogie and I have had the opportunity to get our hands on some all natural art supplies from Clementine Art. What I love about these products is that they are made of all natural ingredients and they are free of chemical dyes and additives. Clementine Art products are made with materials like kosher soy wax, non toxic mineral pigments and materials that you may find in your kitchen such as spinach, lemons, strawberries, and flour.

At the age of 16 months, Boogie’s still in that stage where everything he touches has to go in his mouth. While conventional art supplies haven’t been known to cause any harm, I feel an added sense of safety when allowing Boogie to create art with Clementine Art products. I commend Clementine Art founder, Diana Mercer, who continues to inspire children naturally and safely with her products.

I’m so excited about this new line of paints, doughs, glue, crayons, and most of all MArkers! 4 years have gone by since my first realizations of my daughters allergies to synthetic dyes, colorings, and then my son’s subsequent allergies to preservatives and the same above… We eat healthy organic foods and use mild soaps. We even try every few months to use the conventional art supplies, only to be reminded of the harsh physical and behavioral reactions to follow. Together, we’ve tried to make supplies (dougn and paint) and have searched the globe to find natural art supplies pre-made. We had found Fabio natural watercolor paints a few years back, now unavailable in the US. All this left us feeling like our children might never feel the joy of a markered up page or hand, or a painted up arm–stress free, just like the other kids. No where could we find these things. Until today! I found online the link to Whole Foods story about Clementine Art supplies, and then found your wonderful blog about the supplies too. (We live 120 miles from the closest Whole Foods…) So I’m really hoping for a chance to win these beauties for my cuties!
I’m most excited about the non-toxic mineral pigments and citric acid in the markers , the natural food colors and scents in the playdough (tumeric, carmine, spinach, lemon, lime), and the tempera paint’s pulverized cellulose (as I’ve only figured out how to make watercolor natural paints…) texture, texture… So Thanks for the entry and the great blog read:)
