With the back to school season in full effect, I’m sure many families have packing lunches on the brain. I’ve had the chance to research and try out a few healthy snacks that I am very excited to share. They are sure to put a smile on the kids’ faces during lunchtime!

Brother’s All Natural Fruit Crisps are stripped of water gently by freeze drying. These freeze dried fruits are convenient and perfect for children with allergies. They are full of the same nutrients as fresh fruit and are free of preservatives, sulphur dioxide, added sugars, peanut/tree nuts, gluten, soy, and dairy. They are kosher and non GMO vegan. Best of all, they have a 1 year shelf life! What fruit do you know of that can last an entire year without being frozen? Boogie eats a couple of bags at a time. I handed these out in my swagbags at BlogHer and took a bunch to my cousin’s 2nd birthday party. We love them! {BUY}

Last but not least, we have Surf Sweets. Surf sweets are naturally sweet, organic gummy candies and jelly beans that are drenched in fresh fruit flavors. Surf Sweets are made with natural colors and flavors, organic fruit juice and sweeteners, and provide a daily allowance of Vitamin C. They are also one of the only candies made without corn syrup, making them a healthier choice for the family and environment. Boogie loved these as well, I had to hide them because, well, what toddler is bearable on a sugar rush? {BUY}
One lucky Mommy Daddy Blog reader will receive about 6 weeks worth of snacks to pack in their kids’ lunches! This prize pack will contain a case of Brother’s All Natural Fruit Crisps, an assortment of all Surf Sweets candies and a Surf Sweets T-shirt!

The kids actually get hot lunch at school, but for snacks we send fruit snacks, or the packages of crackers.

I have a son with a lot of allergies, so we have to be careful. He also eats a lot healthier than his peers. Generally speaking, he will have homemade chicken nuggets, Garden of Eatin’ blue chips and salsa, whatever fruit we have on hand, soy pudding or cookies, and a quart of water. Since he is hitting puberty, and hard, we have to make sure there is A LOT of food in that lunchbox!

Some of my grandkids eat at the school cafeteria and some take their lunches. My daughter in law is great at giving healthy foods: carrot sticks, grape tomatoes, fresh fruit, turkey wraps with hummus, bean sprouts, etc, peanut butter on whole wheat bread, crackers, variety of salads. I never worry about their lunches because I know they are getting everything they need.
