I originally didn’t have a giveaway planned for this year’s Mother’s Day because I am trying to spend more time being a mother – away from the computer. But I just couldn’t resist this one!

Sounds kinda sad, but it is not……..I have been very fortunate in that my girls have become responsible, caring, adults and one could not ask for more!

Each year we pick a kid centric activity suitable to the weather and the kids ages. This year it is Slinky Action Zone. We are going out to eat tomorrow to avoid the crazy crowds, and we talked about maybe going to the zoo on Sunday. It is famous all over, well, the world for its thousands and thousands of Lilac Trees and bushes. There many, many different varieties and colors of Lilacs and this weekend they are all in full bloom. There is a big festival going on there called what else, the Lilac Festival and for Mother’s Day my husband and I are taking our 3 children and our 2 feisty dogs to this wonderful outdoor festival among the thousands of lilacs. The scent will be amazing, there is live music from several local bands, there are food tents and art for sale. It is so much fun, and I can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon with my family on Mother’s Day. I only wish my own Mother lived in town so she could be with us. But, we will probably talk on the phone oh, at least a half dozen times on Sunday! Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter.
