Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Dual Breast Pump Giveaway!

2 May

evenflocomfortselect

I have been breastfeeding Jayden a year now and I have pumped only a few times on demand. Now that Jayden’s older, I feel more comfortable taking a trip and leaving him with family for a few days. For moms looking to get out more, take a business trip, or go back to work, Evenflo has an affordable solution to breast pumping on-the-go.

Evenflo is committed to helping moms do what’s best for baby, which is why they’ve created the new Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Breast Pump. The Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Breast Pump is very lightweight and comes in what looks like a little lunch bag, it is very discreet. It’s option to run on batteries allow moms to pump just about any where imaginable! And the price is right.

About The Evenflo Comfort Select

  • Improved cycle time from 38 to 57cpm (60cpm is the accepted norm for a suckling baby)
  • Vacuum performance is consistently near the maximum of 250mmHG. Productive vacuum at all settings between min and max.
  • Regulated power adapter provides more consistent vacuum levels and cycle rate throughout range
  • Dual performance – 2 individual pumps for better production allowing individual settings and overall increased vacuum capacity
  • More stable bottle stand to prevent possible spillage
  • All components are BPA free and contain less than 0.01% phthalates
  • ISO Compliance and International symbols on pump allow retail in Canada
  • Upgraded corporate packaging that is WHO code compliant and more appealing to Mom
  • Aesthetics improvement – color schemes are more appealing (lavender)

Tip: If you experience decreased suction while pumping, please remove the soft horn insert and try pumping again.

Since I don’t have a need for yet another pump, I will be passing on one of these babies as well as a 2 boxes of Comfort Select® Disposable Nursing Pads to a friend AND one Mommy Daddy Blog reader! Thanks Mom Central and Evenflo!

Having a good breast pump is a lifesaver. My only complaint is that your hands aren’t free to multi-task; which is why I recommend the Easy Expression Hands Free Pumping Bra. Lifesaver times 2! Check out http://www.EasyExpressionProducts.com.

I am entering for a friend with 3 little ones under the age of six. The fact that the breast pump is “Dishwasher safe for fast, easy cleanup” is most appealing to me. She will not have to spend time washing it out. Just pop it right in the dishwasher and go.

A good dual breast pump is definitely an essential item. I’d love to be able to gift this to my coworker, who is thrilled to be due in September after pregnancy loss.

I would love to win this for my daughter who is expecting her first child in November! The thing that stands out to me the most is that it is dual performance – 2 individual pumps for better production allowing individual settings and overall increased vacuum capacity. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!

Make sure your baby’s mouth covers a large part of the underside of your nipple. I spent the first few weeks in a lot of pain because my baby wasn’t latching on properly.

My best breastfeeding tip is to RELAX!!!

It can be a bit stressful with everyone always asking about it, wondering how it is going, asking when you are planning to stop, and making comments. Just breathe, relax, and remember you are doing something great for you and your baby!!

34 sheri May 11, 2009 at 2:41 am

My tip is if you have twins, nurse them at the same time. It saves a ton of time and neither has to work as hard to get the milk to let down because they are both working together! And no matter how frustrating it is..dont give up!

35 Daniel M May 11, 2009 at 2:05 am

I would give this to my friend who will be a first-time mom in August–she’d appreciate the dual pumps so she can pump both sides at once, and the battery option so she can pump and chase her step-son at the same time if needed!

I nursed my first child and will soon be nursing another. I think that my best tip would be that you know best. I had a lot of people try to tell me how to do it, that my child wasn’t “doing it right” or that I wasn’t doing it right…but, I knew that we were doing just fine. You need to relax and know that you are doing something wonderful for your baby and for you too. The bonding is amazing – yeah, even at 3 AM! Thanks for the great giveaway :)

I am entering for myself, however, as a future breast feeding mom. What stands out most to me is that: All components are BPA free and contain less than 0.01% phthalates. This is really important to me and my husband when it comes to feeding our baby and what goes into his/her body!

71 israel y May 5, 2009 at 8:45 pm

I am entering for a family member. The feature of the Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Breast Pump of a Dual performance really stands out to me. Thats amazing that it has 2 individual pumps!!

72 jennifer May 5, 2009 at 5:26 pm

The best breastfeeding tip I can give for new moms is to stick with it! Sometimes it takes both mom and baby quite awhile before baby learns to latch and everyone is comfortable with the nursing process.

Tip: have confidence in yourself. You CAN breastfeed.
It’s when we worry too much if we have too little milk, too much milk, how long did we breastfeed, on which side did we do it last, how many ounces do we think the baby got in, is it normal to have 10 dirty diapers, my baby cries — my milk must be bad (NOT!): that is when we introduce problems into breastfeeding.

Relaxing helps letdown, and just “go with the flow” — if your baby is not satisfied, there are ways to make it work. So just relax, seek help if needed from a COMPETENT LC, and it will work out. :)

(OH, and do yourself a favor. Look at the latch video Evenflo/Ameda has on their website — it’s fantastic for teaching how a baby should latch on. Latch is the key to solving most breastfeeding issues :) )

My best tip would be to attend a LLL meeting before the baby is born and talk to real women who are or have breastfed their babies. Personal experience helps alot, especially when they can tell you about hurdles they made it through.

My tip is to always have a glass of water, invest in support for your arms – rocking chair, boppy pillow, something comfortable, and try Medela’s Nipple Cream – it’s the best, I think anyway.

Thanks for the great giveaway. I’m due in July with my second and would love to win this.

89 Rajee May 5, 2009 at 3:33 am

My best tip is to sit on a comfortable sofa with a support small pillows and switch on nice music or tv in a calm place to breast freed baby and let her make fall asleep. It’s the best to work with.

I’m due in September and this would be *great* to have. My fingers are crossed…my breastfeeding tip from my last baby…if you have big boobs you have to squish a little to help baby along. I mean, you can’t feed a baby a big ol’ hero sandwich now, can you? LOL Gotta give baby a piece of the sandwich so s/he can munch.

93 Charlotte May 5, 2009 at 12:38 am

breastfeeding mom also and my best tip is to make a comfortable breastfeeding spot – a comfortable chair, pillows, a spot for your drink within easy reach, books, the right light, a stool for your feet – whatever you think will make you comfortable DO IT. Having a place you can spend a lot of time comfortably is key for a good breastfeeding relationship.

Right now I am currently pregnant with our first child and I am really looking forward to breastfeeding. The benefits of doing so are so great. Plus I heard that breastfeeding lowers your chances of getting breast cancer. my biggest breast feeding tip is don’t give up- too many woman- give up and get discouraged- it takes time and it will happen if you give it time.
Something I look for in a good pump..quiet, fast and lightweight- not luggy to carry around if you have to
