Boogie got so many compliments on his rugby sweater and beanie, I thought I’d share where I got them. Remember this post from February? I dug up the order confirmation from The Children’s Place. I only paid $4.24 for that sweater! There are a few listed on Ebay in those colors as well as other combinations, just search for “tcp sweater” or “the children’s place sweater” in boy’s clothing. I was able to find two more in different color schemes for $21.98*. That shows how much I love that line of sweaters! $10.99 per sweater is pretty normal. I try to shoot for lower, but I had to have these.
When shopping for Boogie, I do a lot of end of season clearance shopping. I buy in bulk/lots and in larger sizes so that they’d fit once the appropriate time for him to wear them arrives. I also do a lot of shopping on Ebay. On Ebay, I can find items that I may have missed out on at the retail stores. I buy used or new and my goal is always to find a bargain. I was able to score all of this for only $106.42*.
At TJMaxx, I was able to find a Rocawear jogging suit for $12 and a pair of glow in the dark Halloween PJs for $7.
I know, I know. I got to rambling and completely skipped over the beanie! Well, Etsy is another one of my addictions. I purchased Boogie’s rasta beanie for $11* from Art Created by the Hands. She’s super nice and smokin’ fast! Another great seller on Etsy is CynsationalTreasure. I recently purchased two super soft winter hats for Boogie at $9.50* a piece. She uses worsted weight yarn, so they are really warm and they aren’t itchy.
There’s no doubt, I absolutely love shopping for my little man, but I don’t go broke doing it! And once he’s outgrown all of his gear, I can trade with friends or sell them to another savvy shoppin’ parent!

TJX Companies, Inc. provided me with T.J. Maxx and Marshalls gift cards to go shopping with. I only used the T.J. Maxx gift card. As crazy as I am about Marshalls, I’ve decided to offer it to one of you. Yes, I have completely lost my mind.

I shop where ever there is a sale or coupons but mostly I love to shop Gap Outlet, Macy’s, and Oldnavy.
me and my boyfriend shops at marshalls. The have the name brands for the cheapest price. Eh..that remind me I need jeans
I love shopping for my little guys at Kohl’s, JC Penney and Ross. I am a clearance whore!
I love to shop at Burlington’s (mostly shoes and toys), The Children’s Place (for my sons jeans and clearance for my daughter), The Gap and Kohl’s (everything clearance). I love a good deal, and I’ve even found some great stuff at Goodwill and The Salvation Army (though most people wouldn’t know that)!
I have my first one on the way, and I’ve found cute things at Target, Old Navy, Penney’s, and of course hand-me-downs!
(If that counts as “shopping”
I love to shop for baby clothes on the clearance racks at Target! TFS your gift card…that’s super generous!

Clearance at Target always does fairly well for me, I can get items for about $1 for future years. Also TCP is great in store as well. I bought $40 gc the other day and they gave me an additional $10 gc. Their clearance is usually $3-$12 and our store does an additional 40% off about twice a month which is combinable with the 10-20% coupons usually floating around. PLUS, they’ve got a rewards program now where for every $75 you spend (cumulatively) you get $10 back. Sweet deals!

I like shopping at Old Navy for my kids
my favorite place to shop is gymboree
Right now… Pottery Barn Kids cause that’s where I have a $150 gift card to! haha!! Does that count? Oh, and Babies R Us, I got a beanie from there! Etsy too!

I can’t keep my son in clothes. He either outgrows them or wears them out before he outgrows them. I refuse to spend a lot on clothes or shoes for him. I’m a Target/WalMart/Kohl’s/Sears/JC Penney/Marshalls/TJ Maxx/Gap shopper. If it fits him, it’s comfortable and not expensive I’ll buy it for him.

When my kiddo was a little person The Childrens Place was a great spot-as a teen, we live in Sports Authority – great deals and sturdy sporty gear (for me too!)
I would say the Childrens Place cause the clothes are affordable and of good quality!
I love Crazy 8 for clothes for my son. I also like to shop the sale racks at gymboree and then use coupons on top of those discounts!

I’m a big end of season shopper, if I’m not browsing the internet or Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and the outlets that aren’t too far from here. I don’t mind spending the money, but they grow so fast that I feel like I’m constantly needing something for them.
I love to shop for my son at JCPenney. They have sales all the time and the little boys clothes are always much cheaper and I love the shirts there.
I love to shop for my 8 yr old daughter at TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Tanger Outlets…I have gotten some great deals from the J.Crew outlets during their mid-week sales and if you r a college student just show id and get 15% off the sales price for a greater discount.
I like to shop where deals are, so where there are sales or online with coupon codes. The Outlets are a really great place, buy lots for little for the next season.
I shop consignment for the kids. They grow too fast to spend too much.
Marshall’s and TJ Maxx are our favorites too! (Ross as well, when we’re travelling).
I love the energy in your writing. I usually stick to Marshall’s, Ross, Old Navy, Burlington’s, Target and Wal-mart. I’ve been trying to break out, but really can’t find good deals anywhere else. I love the boutique finds, but they’re so expensive. I have great luck at swaps between my girlfriends and I for myself, so I’m thinking about doing the same thing with children’s clothes.
Keep up the great posting. I’m following you now.

Well I’m new here and also a new subscriber to you. I love your blog. It’s soooo streamlined. Your son is too cute and I love his outfits. I am also a bargain hunting mama. I shop at Ross where this year before preschool started I scored my son a 4 piece outfit (2 pants, 2 t-shirts) very good quality for a faintingly low price of 4.99! I got that look from the cashier like “Do we need to run the security tape back?” But that is going down in my great buys history book. I love Marshalls too so I hope I win.
My best, Lynn

For awhile there I was hooked on Ebay for the kids clothes until my husband and the toddlers hosted an intervention for mommy. I didn’t know it had gotten that bad…

I love a consignment shop here in my area – Other Mothers. I never spend over $3 for jeans, or anything else for that matter. onesies for 99 cents, footed pjs for a couple bucks – and none of it looks used! I just love it – I’m glad it is not close to my house or I would be in trouble
–thanks for the giveaway!

I luv his little beanie. I need to pick some of those up for Cam. I’m not even sure if he will keep it on his head.
I like to shop anywhere that is having a good sale. Clothes for children are so expensive nowadays and they grow out of them so quickly anyway. I personally like target, children’s place.
I have a very nice consignment shop that I like to shop at. I am usually there at least once a week.
I have a local consignment shop I like to go to. The have great stuff from toys to clothes.
My favorite stores to shop for clothing is the Children’s Place & TJ Maxx. We usually find some fabulous deals. We’ve actually got it down to a science at The Children’s Place outlet near us… we know when they mark down their items. We can usually snag up shirts for .99 and such.. =)

I am a recovering bargain-hunting addict myself- just had baby number 2 and he gets to wear all the stuff I bought on sale for big brother that he never had a chance to wear! We like to shop at Kohl’s, Target and the Gap, Children’s Place and Gymboree outlet stores.
I like to shop at T.J. Maxx for great deals on brand name kids clothes.
My teen and I both love to shop at TJ Maxx, Kohls, and Marshalls, especially their clearance racks!
Nice sweater. I will definitely get one. Thanks for sharing it here.

I love shopping at Carters and The Childrens Place, they always have such good deals.
My favorites are Walmart, Marshalls, JcPenney and Target.
I keep my eyes peeled for those clearance signs and my heart literally skips a beat when I see them. I recently got some shirts at JcPenney for only $1 and my teen actually liked it! Of course she loves Marshalls.
