Don't worry about it girl, he'll grow, unexpectedly! Lyric especially was always under weight but always tall, plus those charts the doctors go by, here's something to know, they don't go by breastfed babies, the charts were made towards those who are formula fed so that might be something you want to look into as well. Although I didn't breastfeed either of the girls, they turned out just fine.

Check this out if you haven't seen it http://www.kellymom.com/babyconcerns/growth/growthcharts.html

Just keep doing as your doing, he's healthy and that's all that matters, maybe cut down on the soild foods and focus more on breast milk since that should be his main source of food till he's at least 12mths anyways.

Well, I have seen Mr. Boogie and he looks fine to me! Healthy, happy, and plump as can be! I can understand though. Take it from me who has a 2year old son who is super skinny with huge feet and a huge head. It is a wonder he doesnt topple over. He is a super picky eater. I have been trying to find Boost too. VERY hard to come by. He doesnt like Pediasure. He doesnt like anything and chooses to exist on fries, frozen waffles and bananas. So you are fine my dear. Boogie will grow!

Girl all babies grow differently. Trust me - I have FIVE kids, all born of the same genes and NONE of them developed the same way haha Those percentiles are simply a comparison of the national average. I haven't paid attention to them since my first kid (with whom I paid attention to EVERY average haha)

As for your milk supply, offer it more frequently and as his intake increases, so will your supply. It goes up and down... it's perfectly normal that it has seemed to decrease as he has begun taking solid foods. Also, as you get further into the months, you will find that you won't "feel" full even when you actually have plenty of milk. That's normal. After a while, at least for me, I've found that nursing pads aren't quite as essential as they used to be... but when the kids would start nursing, the milk comes down. Don't worry about it. As long as you're nursing somewhat regularly, your will continue to produce milk.

By the way, speaking to your not wanting to write about parenting problems, I just posted a blog about the competitiveness of parents... check it out if you wanna: "What Defines a Good Mother?" http://senilemomentia.com/?p=1882 :) We're all right in our own way! haha

You're right, this will pass. Your little cutie pie is healthy (and yes he loves to eat, LOL) and that's all that matters. Every kid is not meant to be in the 95th percentile which is why there's a range of healthy growth. Being a mother of 2, I see a huge difference between my boys when comparing them at similar ages, but you know what, they're both healthy and happy and that's good enough for me.

You my dear are an awesome mommy, I have seen you in action!

my baby went from the 95th percentile to the 25th percentile in just a few months. i was so nervous but nothing was wrong! her doctor told me i should start supplementing with formula, but she hated it and i did too. when i switched doctors, she told me not to worry bc both me and her father are not big folks so she's prob just coming into her genetic fate. anyway, don't worry too much esp if you know you're feeding him well. that's my 2 cents ;)

I swear you are talking about Pea. She's always been in the 5th percentile for height and weight....and a head as big as a melon! LOL, around the 80 percentile! Little body, huge head! Then add all of her unruly hair in the mix...it's depressing!

I know what you mean though, I get so sick and tired of people saying "She's SOOOO small!" "Don't you feed her enough?"

She's NOT my picky eater, that girl will eat ANYTHING. I'd be happy to give them the grocery bill!

You are right though, he'll grow...and so will Pea. You are a good Mama!

Aww! Little man will grow soon. Try not to worry too much (easier said than done, right?). My daughter was a chunka-wunka while breastfeeding and then once I weaned her, her growth plummeted. I thought I wasn't feeding her enough, but then I realized - hey, she's WALKING and RUNNING now. Burning more calories than just sitting around eating all day. :)

I love your blog, btw. Don't think I've ever commented before...

oh don't worry about his weight as long as he's eating well. My daughter started out really teeny tiny and now she's taller or as tall as her friends - to be honest I don't even ask about %'s why judge kids at such a young age? As long as they are healthy and happy that's all that matters.

PS. My son has a big head, we keep saying he'll topple over. LOL. It's all in good fun I'm sure he'll grow into it
