Hi there, and welcome to Mommy Daddy Blog! We’re glad you could stop by! We had so much fun last year that we absolutely couldn’t miss out on this year’s Ultimate Blog Party! So allow us to introduce ourselves…
We are Sheena (aka “Mommy”) and Greg (aka “Daddy”), and together we make up Mommy Daddy Blog! We registered this domain before we even decided to start trying to have a child. We enjoyed the idea of creating a blog where we both would share our perspectives for when we would eventually become first time parents. But, little did we know, we ended up conceiving just three months later!
It wouldn’t be until Sheena was four months along that we’d find out that we were pregnant with our first child, Boogie! Upon finding out the wonderful news, we launched Mommy Daddy Blog on December 19th, 2007! From then until the end of April, we chronicled our pregnancy. Then on April 26th, 2008, Boogie was born!
Life definitely changed for the both us with the addition of a new member to our family, and we try to chronicle most of it here on Mommy Daddy Blog. Here are a few of our favorite posts from the pregnancy and birth:

When my daughter was five my parents took custody of her because I was an alcoholic. I moved near my daughter April 4, 2007 (my daughters 19th birthday), with 10 1/2 years sobriety, my car payed off and money for the move after working two and three jobs for years. I now have 12 years sober, started college in August, and quit smoking in November. The bad news is I have been laid off from my job for 10 months and haven’t been able to find a job anywhere else. All my savings is gone and unemployment runs out next month. My dad had to pay my rent last month and will have to again this month (my unemployment is only enough to pay my utilities and eat). Those who pray please pray that I get a job soon !!!!

Ladies do not give up for Your Family’s We worked 10 years on both infertility and adoption and God gave Us a Son thru Open Adoption Our Son is now 12 and We got Him at birth from the hospital…He looks just like My Husband…..God will provide It is just in His time…the 10 years We tried to become a Family seemed like forever The 12 years with Him has gone so fast….now that I am on this side it is easy to say….hang in there and think of Open Adoption It has been amazing for Us and just made Our Family larger….great giveaways and great site
