Last Valentine’s Day, Greg and I were sick with something serious! And I guess since I was pregnant at the time, I was prone to germs! This Valentine’s Day was much more relaxing.
We avoided the Saturday restaurant rush by dining on a home cooked meal.

Shrimp (forgot to untail before cooking) pasta, steak, and cabbage.

Chocolate covered romantic fortune cookies from Pro Flowers.

My beautiful Tropical Heart Plant from ProFlowers.com. Flowers don’t last very long, so I chose a plant!
Have you seen the new Seal Soul Valentine’s Day widgets that made their way on many blogs and social media profiles? They were created to promote Seal’s PBS soundstage show which premiered February 12th. If you missed it, here’s a little taste below!
Valentine’s Day may be over but you can still send some more love your sweetie’s way, by sending them a Seal Soul Valentine!
So, what did you do for Valentine’s Day? Answer this question by February 25th 7PM CST for a chance to win an autographed copy of Seal’s Soul album! Thanks One2One Network for arranging this giveaway!

for valentine’s day, we went and looked at houses. my husband had just flown in from winnipeg (to atlanta) after being grounded overnight in charlotte b/c of a problem with the airplane. so he met me and the realtor, coming straight from the airport. we looked at houses for 5 hours, then drove home in separate cars, each picking up our own fast food meal along the way. two hour drive home to pick up the kid from grandma’s and when we got home, we all just went to sleep!!
but i’m not complaining – we’re buying our first house and he sent me roses and got me really nice soaps from my favorite shop in canada.
we stayed in and made treats with the kids- after the kids went to bed after games and movies..we snuggled in bed and watched movies and ate pizza and snuggled more…romantic to me
We had just arrived in a new state for a temporary move, so kept things simple…we have a lot to do! We cuddled on the couch in the morning, exchanged Valentine’s, I opened my new earrings, and we went out to dinner with a friend who’s wife was away. Any day I am with my hubby is a perfect day
I hung out with my kids, and we went shopping. I bought myself some stuff that I needed and my son needed shoes. And we ate McDonald’s. Fun huh?
It was good, no qualms with me!
Love your plant!
My newly divorced former sister in law came and watched the kiddos (a great diversion for her) and Hubby and I headed for a local pottery painting place. I made a mug and painted Olivia (Goose’s favorite) on it, while Hubby made an amazing Sandra Boynton inspired dino-plate for Little Man. We grabbed smoothies afterward and headed home. We played Scattegories with my former sister in law until midnight. It was a very fun evening.
I had made reservations to a very nice restaurant but we ended up doing something else. Earlier in the week we got a nice call from my girlfriend’s 4 year old niece inviting us to her Valentine’s Day party that she decided to have for the family so we decided that would be a more fun (and cheaper) way to spend Valentine’s Day. So, we drove up and had a good weekend with my GF’s 3 other sisters, spouses, 4 nieces and nephews and their parents. It is nice to have so much family within a 3 hour drive.
