Ok so you were probably expecting a picture. That, I do not have. A picture for what I’m about to share would not be appropriate to post on the interwebz.
Today me and the boogie took a bath together. It was much needed and relaxing. It was actually much easier bathing him being inside of the tub with him. He had a blast playing with the mini loofa and wash cloth. He’s such a big boy. Moments like these I’ll cherish forever and because Greg and I need to have more moments like these with Boogie, we are trying to get a hold of our time. We are trying get a schedule going so the computer doesn’t consume us. We are getting smarter about these things. One of our New Year’s resolutions is for blogging to not become a chore. In order to be successful, we have to stay passionate. And blogging is something we are passionate about, but not when it doesn’t come naturally. So as things slow down around here, you guys will understand why. And maybe things won’t slow down. Maybe we can manage to keep things flowing without anyone noticing that we have our blog on autopilot. At any rate, we need a break to find poetry in the prosaic!

How sweet that you got to spend that time together. That’s been one of the things I missed most about adopting and birthing is them being small enough to do something like that with. You’re so blessed.
I know what you mean about blogging being a chore, at times it can be.
It is good to hear that you took a moment to breath. There has been alot going on in these parts lately! The bath sounds great – I couldn’t do that with Mekhi without him trying to nurse! Oh well. Enjoy your moments of peace. Take a vacay, we will be here.
I can understand that! Blogging sometimes takes over.
How funny that you just posted this. Today I was just thinking to myself, after my 12 Days is over, I don’t think I’ll be around as much. Blogging has become a chore, it’s become something that’s been taking over more and more, and less time it’s giving me to spend with the girls which I need to do. I was actually going to post something simlar soon on my own blog. Maybe it’s just the holiday season getting to me, but I need that little break and time to realize, blogging needs to get back to being fun, back to being something I love doing, not a chore or a timeline.
I hope you find your peace within blogging soon as well.
I completely understand if you guys aren’t around quite so much. Spending time with the little ones definitely trumps computer time!
I’m glad you got to spend such a special bathtime with your little guy! Those are some of the moments I will definitely miss as Brayden gets older!
Blogging can consume time and i totally agree with you when you say “blogging is something we are passionate about, but not when it doesn’t come naturally”.
Enjoy
That’s nice, you have a great time together! Your child is such lucky, to have a mother like you.
Well guys, you should take a break! I know I plan to. Enjoy your baby because he is growing up fast. Take time to savor the little things life throws your way. Enjoy and you take it easy. The blog world will still be here
You have a gorgeous blog! I love it!
First let me introduce myself, I am Michelle from the Comment Club Two. I am fairly new, and have had computer difficulties so have been w/out for a while.
I love your header, how sweet a picture. You have a beautiful family.
Enjoy the time with your little one as long as you can and as for computers….we lived w/out them before.
I started out bathing my son in the tub with me because I was so scared of not being able to hold his wiggly wet self and he did not like the sink! I’m also very glad you were able to have that time to reconnect, and I fully support you in your endeavor to not allow blogging to be a chore! Good luck!
I hear ya! Blogging has taken up way to much time lately. I think that I’m gonna set up a similar circumstance at our house. It’s not fair to my wife and I as it takes away important time that could be spent with the kids and our dogs. Great suggestion and I’m gonna pass it on to her.
Exhale, family. Exhale. I’n so glad that you recognize what’s important… we’ll understand if you slow down a bit!
