Let’s see. On Saturday, October 25th, my husband and I are dressing up Alyssa and taking her to a Halloween-themed family bonfire. Then on Monday, October 27th, we’re taking both Alyssa and Ryan trick-or-treating at a local shopping center. And finally, on Halloween itself, we’re taking Alyssa, Ryan and the dog out for trick-or-treating in some of the local neighborhoods. :)

I think I am going to take my daughter out trick or treating for a bit, she has 2 costumes to wear this year actually. A pink tutu for a ballerina or something, and a super hero costume. We will probably also carve some pumpkins, I need to go pick some up before they run out! Great giveaway, thanks.

Many thanks, Cindi

I actually don’t have any formal plans. I will do the same thing I did last year. Dress Mekhi in his costume and take pictures. When he is older I guess we will have to figure out something but that is enough for now.

  • Cheri wrote 22 Oct at 9:30 pm

What a fun giveaway! My son who is 3 1/2 will be dressing up as Elmo, which he picked out. Then we will take him to a Halloween party that is organized for kids to trick or treat in the shops in our neighborhood.

  • Patti wrote 23 Oct at 1:38 pm

We are going to the Zoo for halloween. Inside, safe, not all candy, and the kids LOVE IT!

  • Kimberly wrote 23 Oct at 1:40 pm

Well I’m a bit disappointed because my husband has to work overtime on Halloween and this will be the first time ever that he’s not been here to go Trick or Treating with the kids. Not only that he won’t get to see them in their costumes. He has to leave here at 5:45 (his hours are 6:30 to 2:30 PM), then he has to head on down to the New Jersey office (we’re in NY) and do some work there then go into the Manhattan office and do work there. He most likely won’t be home until after 11 PM, long after trick or treating is over and the kids have gone to bed. So it’s going to be a very sad and lonely Halloween this year. Me and our dog have to take our kids out treating without him.

I’m also helping out at my son’s classroom Halloween party this year too, so that is what I’ll be doing during the day.

Thank you for the great giveaway.

LOVE the pictures of your baby in the pumpkin costume. TOO CUTE!!!

  • Melissa B. wrote 23 Oct at 2:28 pm

We’ll be taking one daughter trick-or-treating, while the other daughter goes to a Halloween Dance at her school.

  • Kristie wrote 23 Oct at 2:30 pm

Since our little ones are only 1 and 2, they don’t really need to get candy. We plan on just dressing them up and taking them around to see family and friends.

  • Lori Z. wrote 23 Oct at 4:11 pm

We’re going trick or treating in a big group and afterwards ending up at someone’s house with pizza and to go through the loot!

  • Kathleen wrote 23 Oct at 8:09 pm

We plan on going to my in-laws so our son can visit his cousin and grandparents and then go “trick or treating” around their small neighborhood. Our towns Trick or treat is the night before, so I’ll be answering the door then. I’ll dress up our son in his pirate pajamas (he’s only 6 months old).

    Thanks for a wonderful giveaway!

  • sarah wrote 24 Oct at 3:04 am

  • Roberta F. wrote 24 Oct at 2:42 pm

    Hi,
we are staying in and making sure we hand out treats to the kids, last year we went trick or treating and left a huge bucket of candy outside, on our way back, we passed a teenager with a pillowcase full of candy. I just thought he’d had a good night but when I got home, the bucket was bare……………hope he didn’t eat them all in one hit !

  • Betsy wrote 24 Oct at 8:28 pm

    Great giveaway!

We make our own costumes from stuff laying around in the house and we walk up a few streets in the neighborhood.

  • lace wrote 24 Oct at 11:42 pm

We are planning on going to a bonfire. Hopefully the weather is nice. I might make some caramel apples. This is the only time I make them even though I love them.

I’m also looking forward to seeing my nieces in their costumes when they come trick or treating at my house.

I’d love to have an envirosax for the girls to use.

  • Jessica wrote 25 Oct at 8:02 am

Our Halloween plans are not definite this year, as we are waiting for the arrival of our daughter. If I am not in labor on Halloween, I plan on getting my son dressed up for Halloween so that he may go trick-o-treating, then we’ll be headed up to our towns local art gallery for face painting and the Halloween parade. Of course, if I am in labor our son will be doing these things with his great grandparents and I will be in the hospital. ;)

  • Megret wrote 25 Oct at 9:40 pm

We are going to dress up (homemade/recycled costumes this year) and trick-or-treat to those houses in the neighborhood we know — then come back and celebrate with treats and cider (and cocoa) with friends!

    Thanks for the great giveaway!

I love Halloween, always have and this year I really want to carve a pumpkin because I never have in my entire life. (I know, right!? Not fair.) So I want to do that and I also want to give candy out because I live in a very, very small town of just 600 people and I am hoping that this town is a little better with Halloween than the town I was in last year. There is no crime here, literally 0% and there is also no police force which is odd, so not having to deal with crime is a good reason to let kids go out and trick-or-treat, right? Well that is my philosophy and I’m hoping it’s right, otherwise I’ll just have to watch scary movies and eat all the candy by myself!

I placed your button in my sidebar, too!

  • Christina @ Cutest Kid Ever wrote 26 Oct at 3:08 pm

We went to a costume party last night with the Pooks. The non-geek version of our costumes was that I was a princess, and my husband and son were my knights or guardsmen. The geek version is that I was an Aes Sedai, and they were my Warders.

After work on Friday (I have to dress up) we’ll be driving TJ to trick-or-treat at the homes of family and friends. We may order pizza for dinner.

  • Lisa wrote 26 Oct at 3:29 pm

I’m planning to go to a Halloween party at my parents house.

  • Modern Baby Blankets wrote 26 Oct at 7:45 pm

My husband and I will be playing “rock, paper, scissors” to decide who takes the kids trick-or-treating and who hands out candy. (Man, I hate handing out candy!) :)

  • Sylvia wrote 27 Oct at 12:35 am

We’ll be dressing 17 mo Eli in his mini lab coat and glasses, and spiking his hair up to give him the “mad scientist” look, just like his dad. (Dad’s a chemist. And has crazy hair.) I’ll teach a couple of Music Together classes with him and all the cutely dressed kids, and then we’ll head to “Fairy Land”, a non-scary fairy-tale version of a haunted house for the little ones. Fun! Thanks for the contest!
