I have been dealing with Scoliosis for about 7 years now. I’m sure what triggered it, but it may trace back to carrying overstuffed backpacks to and from school. The scoliosis hadn’t been much of a problem until 3 years ago. I could simply be standing for 15 minutes at a time when my lower back would become overwhelmed with fatigue. Something definitely had to be done before I would end up having to undergo surgery. After an exam and going over my X Rays, my doctor prescribed physical therapy. The muscles in my lower back were very tense causing my spin to curve. Doing physical therapy helped loosen the muscles, straighten my spine considerably, and alleviate my lower back pain.
During my physical therapy sessions, I had to do numerous stretching activities. Each session was concluded with me getting a massage – the best part! I layed out flat on my stomach and my physical therapist hooked me up to a muscle conditioner which massaged my lower back and often put me to sleep. The muscle conditioning device was much like the EnerVive, only the control unit was much larger.
The EnerVive’s portability brings physical therapy into the home or anywhere imaginable! I wouldn’t use it while driving, you just may fall asleep! Pop in a 9 volt battery and enjoy 6 muscle conditioning programs at your convenience. I simply love this thing because I still suffer from lower back pain. I’m a babywearing mama and lil boogie is becoming quite the chubster, thus putting more strain on my back in front carrying positions. Since I have taken on this new life as a mommy, I don’t have time to go back and forth to the physical therapist, nor do I feel like waking up early in the morning to do so. The EnerVive has definitely saved me from being trapped in inconvenience.
My only gripe about the Enervive is that I’m unable to put the butterfly pads on by myself if I’m using it on my back. It would be lovely if there was some sort of elastic waistband attachment that I could just wrap around my body, kind of like what’s use for System-Abs. Despite this one flaw, I still love it.
I’ve been awkwardly sitting up at the computer while holding boogie in one arm and typing with the other. My shoulders are very tense from slouching. You know what’s next! Now if you excuse me, I’m handing the baby over to Daddy ’cause me and the EnerVive have a date!
The EnerVive can be purchased at slendertoneusa.com and replacement butterfly pads can be purchased at amazon.com.
