MatchMaster, associated with The David Beckham Academy, is the latest interactive soccer game that combines fun with fitness. This hand held soccer game tests player’s ability to develop their performance by managing a daily schedule and teaching children ages 8 and up how training, eating right and rest leads to better health and athletic performance. The game offers seven virtual soccer games and four Infra Red games, allowing players to challenge others to become the ultimate MatchMaster.
Players must select their “Daily Routine Planner” during select time frames, which includes choosing meals, training and sleep to build a stronger player. The better coached player will perform at a higher level during the seven interactive training games allowing them to score more points. Once the player masters the training games, they can test their skills against another player using one of the four Infra Red challenges. Maintaining a healthy virtual “Lifeline” encourages children to apply what they learn from the game to real life. What a perfect back to school gift!

Good Evening, A fun game and learning tool! I love how it combines how to play soccer with the training, eating right and rest aspects. The child plays an active role in his meals, training and the amount of rest he/she gets. The player that is better coached The better player will make more points during the seven interactive games. My hubby’s nephew would love something like this-in additon to playing soccer (along with his 3 older brothers and dad coaching) it would be educational as well-helping him make the right choices in nutrition and exercise to keep the player in tip top shape. By reading your review, I’m EXTREMELY impressed with this product!!! Working with children, I see so many of them lacking in the motivation department to get off the couch and move. Even more alarming is seeing how much soda and junk food these kids ingest!! I love that this isn’t just the typical video game. It takes it a step further in actually educating kids on how to be healthy in a fun and interactive way!! GREAT concept!!!
This is something that I know my nephew would just love!!! He’s a soccer fanatic AND a video game fanatic! This takes two of his favorites and combines them into a great gift for him!!! And to make his mom and his auntie (me) happy, it takes it to the next level and will encourage him to be a healthy person in several key ways.
