funny, i went to high school with a guy whose real name was Semaj (his father’s name was James) and he pronounced his name Suh-Mahj.

My slow self still can't figure out how to pronounce it. I was trying though.. lol. But, I call James, Semaj.... The story behind that is funny. When I'm in Savannah and he's 300 miles away in Athens, I would miss him soooo much! So, I'd talk about him all the time to my friends. Finally, they told me that they were tired of hearing his name, so I started saying Semaj, which is James spelled backwards! lol. It's pronounced Say-Ma-Juh. lol. Like you, we also know we're in trouble if we call each other by our real names. :) I usually call him papi/papa, but sometimes baby daddy.
